In the course of transferring the history of an area from the memories of aging residents or aging and obscure documentation to the written word, many of the little tidbits of that area's history are overlooked or, in many instances, forgotten.
This series of booklets covers people, places, and events as they relate to both the history and the present of Washington Township, Macomb County, Michigan. Each booklet provides a small glimpse of a facet of the history of Washington Township. In many instances, the information available today concerning these events, places, or people is not sufficient enough to be presented in book form; however, their importance should not be discarded. These booklets focus on events that are important, from a historical standpoint, as they relate to the history of Washington Township.
