The "Roll of Honor", a listing of Civil War soldiers who died while in the service of the Union, lists this veteran as having been known to be buried in graves marked "Unknown" in the Stone's River National Cemetery, near Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The "Record of Service of Michigan Volunteers in the Civil War 1861-1865" lists a death date of May 13, 1864. In addition, the military record of this veteran indicates activity on his part after the headstone death date. Possibly the headstone was carved incorrectly. This is beyond the scope of this study.

S. General Hospital, Central Park, New York on Surgeon's certificate of disability, November 25, 1862.

Researchers Note:  This veteran lived at the Michigan Soldiers' Home (File #4593) for a time. On his admission report, he listed that he suffered a gun shot wound of right hip which occurred at the battle of Second Bull Run.

Researchers Note:  This veteran is listed as being buried in Clinton Grove Cemetery by the records of the H. D. Terry GAR Post in Mt. Clemens. He is not listed on the cemetery website nor in the cemetery book and no headstone has been found for this veteran. His death certificate lists Mt. Clemens as the place of burial.
